The Accounting
College Pty. Ltd. does not supply any information that is collected from students
to third parties unless the student has provided authorisation in writing to do so or the information is required by a person, business or company that actually paid for the course or courses on behalf of the student to undertake the studies.
Where the student has actually enrolled and paid for the course or courses then the college has an authorisation form available for this purpose which must be signed not only by the student, but also by the Chief Executive Officer of the college, who is responsible for Privacy issues (see student records below).
The Accounting College Pty Ltd will provide information in relation to a student's academic record or other information, without athorisation, if that information is requested by Centrelink or any other government department who may have a right to such information in accordance with legislative requirements.
The Accounting College Pty. Ltd. does collect basic information for the purpose of course bookings and where required to satisfy any government legislated requirement.
Credit Card and other payment method information is dealt with as strictly confidential
at all times. All credit card numbers are destroyed immediately upon processing a course transaction.
Student Records
The Accounting College Pty. Ltd. policy is that privacy of student information is maintained and that students will provide signed authorisation for third parties to access their records. This is to ensure student records are kept private and not accessed without the student's knowledge. The Accounting College Pty. Ltd. may supply student information, without the student's authorisation,
to a person or business who has paid for the course or courses on behalf of the student or a government department that has
a right to student information. This information is provided in relation to the enrolment and the student's academic record.
Written consent must be obtained from the student should access to records be required by a third party. This does not include any person or business that may have paid for the course or courses on the student's behalf.
The CEO must authorise any disclosure to a third party as mentioned above before it occurs and a reason in writing must be provided by the applicant as to the purpose for obtaining student records. The student records that the college will provide to
the third party is
a Transcript of Academic Record only.
The Accounting College Pty. Ltd. has a responsibilty to the student only and reserves the right to not issue student records to a third party if it so chooses unless where it must do so under government legislation.
